KUALA LUMPUR 19 Jun — Gempa bumi sederhana berukuran 5.1 pada skala Richter melanda barat daya Sumatera pada 9.44 malam ini.
Jabatan Meteorologi Malaysia dalam satu kenyataan berkata pusat gempa berlaku 216 kilometer dari barat daya Siberut, Indonesia dan 691 kilometer dari barat daya Melaka.
Bagaimanapun, gempa bumi itu tidak membawa ancaman tsunami. — Bernama

MODERATE EARTHQUAKE IN SOUTHWEST SUMATRA
Bernama – 1 hour 43 minutes agoKUALA LUMPUR, June 19 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake measuring 5.1 on
Richter scale has occured in Southwest Sumatra, Indonesia at 9.44pm tonight.
Malaysian Meteorological Department said in a statement here, location of
the earthquake was 216km southeast of Siberut and 691km southwest of Melaka.
No tsunami threat was reported.
